Here are some tips on how to develop a strong  personal social media content strategy to raise your profile and build your brand.

  1. Build a strong LinkedIn profile that highlights who you really are and your unique strengths
  2. Build an editorial/content calendar to help you manage your posts
  3. Share your content at the right time (during 7 to 9am, 12-2pm and 5 to 8pm)
  4. Be a content collector and a creator
  5. Be visual and smart by using low-cost/no-cost tools
  6. Repurpose your content – each piece of content can give you at least 3 distinct posts
  7. Create once, publish everywhere (but adjust the message to the platform – one size doesn’t fit all)
  8. Maximize every conference and create a takeaways piece with key insights (you can easily do this with virtual events too or write about past events that you attended)
  9. Use a combination of evergreen and timely posts
  10. Use a powerful mix of earned and owned media
  11. Use holidays and other milestones to fill in content gaps
  12. Pay it forward by promoting the successes of others on social
  13. Use a mix of platforms to engage with your target audiences (video, thought leadership, podcasts, etc.)
  14. Use paid social on key articles/posts

Stay safe.
