Veterans Day this year is on Thursday, November 11. It’s day on which we honor and remember our veterans, and we thank them for their service and their sacrifices to our country.
If you haven’t done a social media post in honor of Veterans Day for your organization before, you should.
It’s not only the right thing to do, but many of your clients and employees expect it.
Use the hashtag #veteransday #veteran and #veterans to make sure it is indexed along with other Veterans-Day related social posts.
You can easily create a Veterans Day social media post in Canva.com – search under “Veterans Day,” “Veterans” and “America” to find approrpriate imagery and inspiration.
Important days like this should be built into your annual social media and content strategy.
If you have veterans at your firm (alumni count too), ask them if they would be willing to be featured in a social media campaign highlighting their service.
It’s a great thing to do, and your social media feed should not be all about your news, successes and events, or what I call “me-centric” social posts.
How are you recognizing Veterans Day on social media?
