I love a good hashtag holiday and today is #NationalIceCreamDay🍦. Hashtag holidays can help you better connect with your followers and break up your business content.

Social media holidays can bring unique, thoughtful engagement to your page and enable you showcase your brand in a more personable “real” way.

Think of these days as opportunities to leverage trending topics on social media and make your brand relevant.

There are so many days that present opportunities for you to market in a way that’s relevant to your industry, shows pride in a cause you care about, or can generate awareness.

While you don’t need to create a post for every informal hashtag holiday, it’s a great idea to take advantage of the opportunities that make sense for your brand. Think of these days as opportunities to leverage trending topics on social, and help your brand stand out.

They also give you ideas for social posts, which is great for any size organization but especially for smaller ones who may not have a full editorial calendar all of the time.
